Studio Practice By Kyle Smith 23rd September 2024 We was given a task and that was in a group we were given a genre and ours were Cyberpunk. And then in the group we each chose Hero, Villain, Minion and Mentor. I let everyone else chose and I got the Hero role in a cyber punk. I firstly looked at cyberpunk edge runners and Akira. Which are cyberpunk themed. They both have a leather jacket theme going on so I thought I would go for something like that. For my character I thought he could come from a the waste land. He's needing to go to the city. This would make the Hero stand out from the city. As the wasteland is more rougher look wise and wild so the Hero would be kind off the opposite of the cyberpunk city as they are usually a lot more organised and futuristic when it comes to tech and  style with people and buildings.  Toolkit 1 (3D) By Kyle Smith 24th September 2024 Within this lesson, we explored Maya, I already had experience with maya beforehand so not a lot was new for me, but I still felt like taking notes to look back and reminds myself of things I might forget. First of all Simon told us about the tools. Things to highlight is that Computers love to render 4 sided shapes like square and rectangles, this also includes cubes and cuboids with are made up into from squares and rectangles.  Here is some shortcuts for Maya that Simon has showed us: Q - Get Rid of handle. W - Move E - Rotation R - Scale CTRL/ E - Extrude CTRL/ Z - Back Alt/Left Mouse - Rotate Camera Alt/Right Mouse - Zoom in/out Alt/Mouse wheel - Move If I go in Mesh Tools, I can automatically insert edge loops. And If I click on the box next to it can change the property of the edge loop tool like the amount of edge loops I add. Environment designs is being explored firstly and its importance within gaming.  We have been shown our project and our prompts. We are giving Artifacts that we have to include without our prompt.
