Studio Practice

We was given a task and that was in a group we were given a genre and ours were Cyberpunk. And then in the group we each chose Hero, Villain, Minion and Mentor. I let everyone else chose and I got the Hero role in a cyber punk. I firstly looked at cyberpunk edge runners and Akira. Which are cyberpunk themed. They both have a leather jacket theme going on so I thought I would go for something like that. For my character I thought he could come from a the waste land. He's needing to go to the city. This would make the Hero stand out from the city. As the wasteland is more rougher look wise and wild so the Hero would be kind off the opposite of the cyberpunk city as they are usually a lot more organised and futuristic when it comes to tech and  style with people and buildings.

I really hated my Initial sketch and went in a diffrent direction. With my bottom sketch I feels more rough and you can tell he isn't from the city and he's got a weird horn. I wanted to give him a rougher around the edges kind off look. Proportion wise I could off done it much better but I wanted that personality here and I feel like I achieved that. I really love how I did the shadows and it gives that dramatic look to him. The band on his leg is where he can store guns. I'm proud and I feel like it's a good feel.

For this task we were given the task of doing a quick concept art of a small fantasy house. I tried doing it in a two point perspective so I quickly did it just front view and It was easier. Afterwards we were given other peoples art and with that art we put some notes down. I was given my friends art Ryan and I had to write his use of shapes. Afterwards, We took the art that we put notes down and blocked in colours to see if our characters are portrayed to other people.

Here's what I got for my cyberpunk character:
