Reflective Statement

Reflective Statement: My first University assignment. I fount it moderately stressful. The toughest part about this assignment was getting into the flow of work. A lot of things are different than college and It took some getting used to. I hate blogger so much. Joking. Blogger has been stressful to use though. I was unsure how to present and surprised about the amount of alone time this would take and something I need to get used to. Within this assignment I moved into student accommodations as I moved later than everyone else. Some personally stuff have come up. I know this isn't appropriate but my friends have just been trying to do stuff with me a lot. Compared to the 6 weeks we just had of they barely talked to me. Saying no to them is hard and something I've been having to do. It makes me feel awful but I want to do well in university. I hope they understand but oh well. Balancing doing University work at home is hard and should of probably done more at home. Doing work ...

Environment Sheet. (Kyle Smith)

Environment Sheets. Development: This is my sheet that I'm going to put my environment and stuff on. It's really cute. Throughout my drawings I do everything in black and white as I'm most used to that and once I get my initial idea down, I start changed the colours. Through out my drawing process you'll see me change my outlines and trying different ones. This is me blocking out my Environment. I really like how close and personal it is but as you can see I'm slowly starting to add colour and detail. When drawing sometimes the black gets me confused as sometimes, I need to render to see what I am envisioning. I prefer not doing so but I must to see if that's the way I want to go like with the stairs as I felt like my brain was frying with the amount of lines. For the door and blocked out chair, I used the eclipse tool in procreate to make a nice smooth rounded shape and then edit the shape to give it a more door shape. Now I'm rendering. This process I usua...

Building A Gameworld -Exercises-

Image
Exercises Here I wanted to block out my layout and see in a more 3D Space how my environment will look. My first attempted was something I found was really poor. It needed to be a wider room So, it needed to be a rectangle more than a square. And It couldn't fit all my necessary objects like pillar and the balcony. After getting the right shape for the room, I got rid of the front wall so, I can clearly see the room. I was thinking of removing the room but I felt that It would make the pillars look like the pillars weren't holding up anything. Blocking out a chair and a fence for the balcony, I wanted to make them more clear. So I assigned a basic material to show that these objects are important to the room. Afterwards I got a nice shot of my room and screenshot it and put it in Photoshop and tranced it. I did this to see how my 3D block out would translate into a 2D Space. This is photo bashing, Photo bashing is grabbing multiple pictures of objects that relates to your work ...

Who is Who? Yashar Kassai - Kyle Smith

Image
Who is Who? Yashar Kassai  ^ Yashar Kassai  Yashar Kassai is a concept artist who has worked for films like Into the Spiderverse, Michells vs the Machines and The Angry Birds Movie. The reason why I chose Yashar Kassai is because he has helped to create my favourite movie and one of the most influential animated movies, Spiderman Into the Spiderverse. I can't describe how much Into the Spiderverse has affected my life and how it will affect it going forward, but writing about someone that you has inspired you with their work is always better than doing it about someone who hasn't. Yashar hasn't just inspired me with Spiderverse but with Michells vs the Machines as that is a movie I have high regards for.   ^Yashar Kassai About Yashar Kassai: Yashar Kassai is a concept artist while being mainly a production designer the difference. Yashar Kassai has been in the industry for 16 years, with his earliest work being Open Season 2 in 2008. Yashar Kassai was only a ma...

Designing a Gameworld Introduction Within this assignment we were given  an opportunity to develop and design a game world. We were given choice of two prompts and develop ideas within those two prompts. Within the prompts given to us I decided to chose The Abyssal Dungeons which abyssal means depths and ocean bed. Underwater Dungeon. That's kind off cool. For another prompts I chose Artifact 2 and that's a Knife from the Congo's. Here's the prompts given to us: Prompt 1: Witches Cottage Heroes Arming Chamber The Abyssal Dungeon ⭐ Interior of the Wights Tomb Temple of the Scared Carbunkle The Fort of Festermire. And Mbokomu is said to be the first women on earth. I like the idea using Mbokomu or the idea of a powerful women. Mbokomu is the daughter of Akongo. I find that coincidentally picking the two prompts that I picked was really suitable as Ngombe are the water people and I hav...
