Konflikt 47:

"Konflikt 47 is a stand alone game inspired by the hugely successful bolt action, designed by clockwork goblin miniatures and produced by warlord games and published by Osprey." This is how Income games would explain it here https://www.incomgaming.co.uk/collections/konflikt-47. They also say in the same starting paragraph that is an "alternate future that of 1947" Which also stated in Warlord games own website here: https://store.warlordgames.com/collections/konflikt-47?srsltid=AfmBOorO67xJHQJBDMt6LUAftFlwRpNu0-ckh9FWhpnGSXFk7A0mB9wk. What or Who is warlord games? Warlord games was formed in 2007 and was made by John Stallard and Paul Sawyer. John Stallard said " Myself and Paul Sawyer found ourselves made redundant having worked for many years at Games Workshops" Then they put Instead of getting real job they will make historical miniatures. They couldn't do it without their friend Bob Naismith which that night John and Paul called Bob up and then created Warlord games. I found this here https://www.warlordgames.com/home/about-us/. Konflikt 47 is similar to Bolt action which says here: https://store.warlordgames.com/collections/bolt-action#:~:text=Bolt%20Action%20is%20the%20ultimate,provides%20endless%20hours%20of%20enjoyment!. "Bol action is the ultimate World War II tabletop miniature game." One of the core difference between the two is that is is based of WWII while Konflikt 47 is based in 1947 making it after WWII. Within the website they say "Konflikt 47 adds to the core rules that many gamers are familiar with from bolt action. directly comparing the two however, they follow up with this by saying " Konflikt 47 allows the addition of completely new types of units and models." Saying that Konflikt 47 allows more creative directives while building on the WWII theme. This is stated here: https://store.warlordgames.com/collections/konflikt-47?srsltid=AfmBOorO67xJHQJBDMt6LUAftFlwRpNu0-ckh9FWhpnGSXFk7A0mB9wk.
Konflikt 47s product line  is very muddy line. With the colour being muddy greens, red and yellows which is suitable for the themes of war. I would say it feel like before hand of a technological development like the first Iron man suit Mark 1. It's very old fashioned technology and it looks dirty and barely useable. The tanks looking like Scorpion or Spiders with 4 or more legs and the rest look like how you expect a tank would look. The Soldier products look like soldiers in there own factions theme. If I can be blunt, I'm not a fan of Konflick 47, not that I have anything against it, just not my cup of tea. I did this diagnostic way to late, this was supposed to be used for building up a solid understanding of my product sent to me from a client. I did visual research but neglected this aspects blindly. Even though most of this means absolutely nothing, it gives me the contexts knowing what I'm working with and not just the basic infomation. I have done visual research but I felt pressured to get a pencil and paper together straightaway. I only felt that pressure from myself.

These are the some Japanese soldiers in Konflikt 47 and as you can tell they use more rounded shapes like ovals, cylinders and circles. The armour is looking more bamboo as well which is more Asian things but it is apart of Japan's culture. I would love to make something more unique to this line, which highlights other things of Japan's culture. The weapons are also very oval shape using cylinders like the shotgun look a like or the katana having the rounded aspect of it. This gives of a more softer feels towards the Japan than something like Russia. I says here "Circles suggests infinite, unity and harmony with the sense of movement that contains energy and power." in Dream Farm Studios. I feel the round shape language presents the idea of softness and energy while being as interesting it doesn't feel as protective as Soviet Union but it feels more hopeful. War is usually represent greens and reds but yellow feels more hopeful and something being round can give the same feel. They feel alien almost. the left look like astronauts while the right being some aliens with oval head but more rounded squares to make up the body. In George Mason University they say "In Japan , yellow represents bravery, wealth and refinement."

Unlike the Japan, Soviet Union has a very jagged, bulky look to it. Using squares to make them look durable and threatening. With Soviet Union they look unconventional like they got the power but there's a cost to that power. Either being weight or dangerous creatures. They go wither red and with a mix of green showing their signature colours a lot more. They have some sort of yellow around them either being the bushes or something small in their armour. They carry massive artillery/weapons like harmmers, some sort of flamethrowing looking thing, machine guns and ect.

Japan

Geishas are Japanese female entertainers who perform traditional Japanese Dancing, Singing and Music. I believe that Geishas are iconic in Japan history and one of if not the face of Japan as a whole. Geishas are commonly seen in long Kimonos with oshiroi make-up. Oshiroi is just powdered foundation that makes that pale white face. Geishas has been around in Japanese history before the 18th Century and can be seen as a sexualised due to them being historically seen in districts that main focus is pleasuring it's clients. Even though it wasn't always been that but still can be found in Japan to this day.

Shamisen
Shamisen is an traditional instruments used in Japan, that is used a lot by Geishas and the bachi is like the guitar pick for specifically used for Shamisen. My idea is that I could possibly turn the bachi as a knife and the Shamisen as some sort of rifle.

My Idea:
My idea is that the Geisha is The Hero of my assignment.

One of my ideas is that the geishas is a women who uses her roles as a geisha to make war look like satire and ridicule it for what it is. I think it's an important thing to present in work of anti war, to inform people what it's genuinely is as a lot of bad things are going on in the world today and so it's important to inform people of what war is and what it does.

Soviet Union

Something I wanted to play with was the juxtaposition between my factions of that being Japan and Soviet Union. I feel like a fun comparison I accidentally made was the that of a butterfly and a bat. Not just biologically but there symbolism as well. While my hero faction being a more delicate while bats a more rougher and in Russia its on the symbol of the Spetsnaz GRU which is a group who vary in actions like battlefield reconnaissance, supporting allies to behind the scenes sabotage. Butterflies in Japan meaning metamorphosise and new hope in darkness and bats strongly are tired with darkness and night making these two juxtapose perfectly. After world war 2, USSr became a superpower while Japan took a massive hit from a nuke by America so the faction could be seen as complete polar opposite.
