 Toolkit 1 (3D) By Kyle Smith 24th September 2024 Within this lesson, we explored Maya, I already had experience with maya beforehand so not a lot was new for me, but I still felt like taking notes to look back and reminds myself of things I might forget. First of all Simon told us about the tools. Things to highlight is that Computers love to render 4 sided shapes like square and rectangles, this also includes cubes and cuboids with are made up into from squares and rectangles.  Here is some shortcuts for Maya that Simon has showed us: Q - Get Rid of handle. W - Move E - Rotation R - Scale CTRL/ E - Extrude CTRL/ Z - Back Alt/Left Mouse - Rotate Camera Alt/Right Mouse - Zoom in/out Alt/Mouse wheel - Move If I go in Mesh Tools, I can automatically insert edge loops. And If I click on the box next to it can change the property of the edge loop tool like the amount of edge loops I add.  Production: Project Development: Here's me trying some lighting for a different illustrations and here some more values. Asaro Here some examples of me learning or trying to understand values. The reason why I am concentrating on values is because It's my weakest part and it can give more life into my art piece.    3D Block-out of my Bear Wing. I decided to 3D unwrap the wing because to be honest I was curious. This is just the block out of the wing. I started to try and 3D block out my flower but felt lost and left it as this. I was trying to replicate the shape and make the flower as one big object but I thought it wasn't going to be a good idea if i am UV unwrapping it. I started by making a single petal. I'm just trying to understand how to 3D model a flower but if I can make a single petal and the rest can come together as long as we know how to.
